Things to do in India Gate & Central Vista

India Gate and the Central Vista, including Kartavya Path (formerly Rajpath), form Delhi's ceremonial centre and a favourite evening hangout, with lawns, ice-cream carts and the National War Memorial, opened in 2019. The Republic Day parade runs along Kartavya Path every 26 January. Around the C-Hexagon are the National Gallery of Modern Art at Jaipur House, Bikaner House's exhibitions and the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, with the National Museum nearby and Vigyan Bhawan for official conferences. A little east on Mathura Road, Purana Qila hosts concerts and festivals inside its walls. Central Secretariat and Khan Market stations are the closest.
