Indoor Things to Do in Delhi

When Delhi's weather turns against you, the events below are indoor picks, refreshed daily. Delhi has three seasons that push plans inside: May and June, when afternoon temperatures regularly pass 40°C; the July–September monsoon; and November to January, when smog and poor air quality are common. Theatre is the classic answer, with plays most evenings at the Mandi House auditoriums and at Akshara Theatre near Connaught Place. Comedy clubs in Saket, Lajpat Nagar, Noida's Sector 18 and Gurgaon's Cyber City run shows most nights. For daytime, the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and the National Museum are all indoors, as are galleries in Lado Sarai, Defence Colony and Okhla. Hands-on workshops, from pottery and painting to baking, run in studios across the city, and film screenings at India Habitat Centre and the India International Centre are often free. Malls in Saket, Vasant Kunj, Noida and Gurgaon add gaming zones, kids' activities and weekend events. This page lists indoor theatre, comedy, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and literary events across Delhi NCR.
