Nehru Park is a landscaped public park of roughly 80 acres in the Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave, near The Ashok hotel. Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri laid its foundation stone in 1965 as a memorial to Jawaharlal Nehru, and it opened in 1969; a statue of Lenin, unveiled in 1987, also stands in the grounds.
