Things to do in Chittaranjan Park (CR Park)

Chittaranjan Park, or CR Park, founded in the 1960s for families displaced from East Pakistan, is the centre of Bengali life in Delhi. It's the city's top destination during Durga Puja, when the B-Block, Kali Mandir, Co-operative Ground, Mela Ground and Navapalli pujas draw huge crowds to their pandals, cultural programmes and food stalls. The rest of the year, Chittaranjan Bhawan and Bipin Pal Bhawan host Bengali theatre and music, and the four markets are known for fish, sweets and Kolkata-style street food, ideal for food walks. Nehru Enclave and Greater Kailash stations (Magenta Line) and Nehru Place (Violet Line) are within about 1 km.
