About Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre
The Stein Auditorium is the main auditorium of the India Habitat Centre on Lodhi Road. It bears the name of Joseph Allen Stein, the American architect who designed the IHC campus. IHC describes it as one of the best auditoria in the country. It has digital cinema projection, an Atmos sound system and one of the few working 35 mm projection set-ups in India, along with direct-telecast and simultaneous-interpretation facilities and two green rooms. The hall hosts Indian classical dance and music recitals, plays, film screenings and festival programmes curated by Habitat Programmes. Recent examples include Mohiniyattam recitals, a mandolin orchestra, dance festivals and English-language theatre. Because IHC calls it 'the Auditorium at Habitat World', it is also rented out for conferences, seminars and presentations organised by outside groups.
Parking: IHC basement parking through the Lodhi Road gates; Gate 3 serves the Convention Centre and cultural venues
