About The Piano Man Jazz Club, Safdarjung
The Piano Man Jazz Club is the original, and smallest, venue of The Piano Man group, opened in 2015 in the B-6 commercial complex opposite Deer Park in Safdarjung Enclave. Styled on a 1920s New York speakeasy, with wooden doors, exposed brick and an ornate bar, it caters to only about 40 guests, so every table is close to the stage. The club programmes over 60 concerts a month across jazz, blues, funk, fusion, pop and singer-songwriter sets, plus regular jam sessions, and says it has hosted more than 400 international artists, including Chick Corea, Devin Townsend and Stanley Jordan. Food and drinks are served through the show. The group also runs a far larger Piano Man at Eldeco Centre near Saket and an outlet at 32nd Avenue, Gurugram, so check which venue your ticket is for.
Tips before you go
- Book on thepianoman.in in advance — with roughly 40 seats, popular gigs fill up quickly.
- Arrive on time: if you haven't told the venue you're running late, seats are released 15 minutes after the start for shows before 8 pm, and at 9:15 pm for night shows.
- Under-18s are not allowed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 pm until closing.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and outside food and drink (including alcohol) isn't permitted.
- Check the venue name on your booking — the Safdarjung club, The Piano Man at Eldeco Centre and The Piano Man Gurugram (32nd Avenue) are separate venues.
