About Guftagu Cafe
Guftagu Cafe is a semi-open, garden-style cafe in Sector 25, DLF Phase 2, opposite DLF City Court and a few minutes' walk from Sikanderpur metro. It calls itself India's "first poetry cafe". The setting is romantic, with fairy lights, and the menu is mainly Italian and continental. At weekends there are shayari (poetry) evenings, stand-up comedy and live music. Outside organisers also hold ticketed comedy nights here. One regular format is The Late Night Comedy Show: a surprise lineup of five or six comics, about 90 minutes long, in Hindi and English, with doors opening at 8:30 pm. Another is the Surprise Comedy Show on BookMyShow. Organisers describe the setting as small and interactive, and the cafe pitches itself for date nights and groups of friends.
