Marathons, Half Marathons & Runs in Delhi NCR

The biggest race on Delhi's calendar is the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, which returns on Sunday 18 October 2026, according to organiser Procam International. Established in 2005, the AIMS-certified race draws tens of thousands of runners across the half marathon, an Open 10K, the Great Delhi Run, a Senior Citizens' Run and a Champions with Disability category, plus a virtual run; the course has traditionally started from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and is known for being fast and flat. Beyond it, running season in Delhi NCR runs from October to March, when cool mornings bring a steady stream of 5K and 10K city runs, charity runs, women's runs, trail races in the Aravallis around Gurgaon and Faridabad, and cyclothons. Weekend running clubs meet before sunrise at Lodhi Garden, Nehru Park, the JLN Stadium complex and Gurgaon's Leisure Valley, and many are free to join. Summer heat and the monsoon thin the calendar out, with only early-morning events. Air quality can be poor from late October into winter, so check the AQI before race day.
